There
are no veal crates in our program; we provide our calves with
large open pastures, allowing them to socialize with one another
and graze on verdant pastures with their mothers. The calves
can also choose whether to use open shelters with bedding
in inclement weather. |
 |
Unlike
traditional “milk-fed” veal (where calves are
given powdered milk supplements), our calves are milk-fed
the way nature intended—on mother’s milk. Calves
also have the option of eating pasture grasses and non-GMO
hay and barley, as well as an unlimited supply of fresh clean
water. |
 |
| Because our calves enjoy a natural, nutritious and iron-rich
diet, our veal is rose-hued. Our veal is just as tender as
white veal, without the off-tastes that can occur from an
unnatural diet and artificial hormones or antibiotics. |
